The Story Behind the Sauce
Born on Highway 601.
Highway 601 runs through the part of North Carolina that raised me—from Mocksville through the communities and back roads that lead toward Salisbury. It's more than a number on a road sign. It's family, food, cookouts, front porches and the places that still feel like home.
601 South was born from that connection to place and the way I actually like to eat. I wanted something bright, savory and versatile enough to finish the food already on our tables—from chicken and barbecue to fish, greens, sandwiches and vegetables.
We're not trying to reinvent Southern cooking. We're celebrating the way we already eat—with a little something on the table that makes good food even better.
